“My dentures have never fit so well thanks to Dr. Kamboh. He was able to properly adjust my dentures so now I can talk and chew comfortably. Best decision I made coming here to Lansdowne Dental Associates!

Kareemah, Lansdowne, VA

Kareemah has had dentures for more than a decade. “They never felt like they fit well, but I just accepted them for what they were.” When she complained that the dentures were rubbing against her gums or sometimes felt loose, Dr. Kamboh knew she needed a different fit.

“Dr. Kamboh was so helpful. He knew right away that my dentures were causing me pain and weren’t working,” she says. “I didn’t know they could feel any better.”

With a simple adjustment, Kareemah was able to feel secure with her dentures and alleviate any pain and discomfort she was experiencing. “The staff and everyone were just so friendly. I really appreciated their help.”

Now that Kareemah doesn’t have to worry about her smile anymore, she says her confidence has improved. “I was always afraid people were going to notice them. Now, I feel so much better about going out. Thank you so much Dr. Kamboh!”

Immediate Denture Service

Sometimes, despite the best efforts of our patients to save their teeth, removal of the remaining teeth and denture placement becomes necessary. In our office, this procedure involves getting a mold of your existing teeth and gums so that immediate dentures can be made. At the second appointment, we will perform all necessary extractions and surgical procedures to ensure the best possible fit of your new dentures. We strive to make your new teeth as natural looking as possible and take care of all necessary adjustments. Our goal is that nobody but you will know that you wear dentures.

Common FAQs on Dentures

People wear dentures to replace lost or missing teeth so they can enjoy a healthy diet and smile with confidence.

An appointment with your dentist will help you decide what type of denture benefits you the most.

A ‘complete’ or ‘full’ denture is one which replaces all the natural teeth in either the upper or lower jaw.

A ‘partial’ denture fills in the spaces left by lost or missing teeth. It may be fastened to your natural teeth with metal clasps or ‘precision attachments’.

Immediate dentures are a type of denture that is placed immediately after a patient’s teeth have been removed. During the first few months of use, these dentures may require adjustments.

Implant-supported dentures  are held in place on top of your gums by dental implants.

Without insurance, a low-cost denture costs between $300 and $500 or $600 to $1,000 for a complete set. The cost will also depend if you need tooth extractions, the type of denture, the cost of immediate dentures until your permanent ones are ready to wear, and follow-up appointments needed for adjustments.
